Although credit hours given vary, the American Council on Education (ACE) recommends 32 semester hours of academic credit. The <I>Directory of Colleges and Universities Granting Credit for the CPS Rating</I> is available for purchase from the IAAP Distribution Department at $5 (U.S.) per copy. The <I>Directory</I> lists only those schools who have contacted IAAP. Therefore, candidates are also encouraged to contact their local colleges/universities to determine if credit is awarded.<FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Times New Roman" > </FONT></div> <bR> <div> <B>Recertification</B></div> <div> Certification makes a powerful statement of having met initial high standards. Those standards are maintained through recertification. Recertification is required every five years, and is obtained through continuing education, leadership in IAAP, etc. <U>Click here to get recertification forms. </U></div> <bR> <div> <B>Seminars</B></div> <div> The Institute for Certification sponsors an annual seminar to enhance professional development. Every CPS and CAP recipient and examination registrant is eligible to attend.</div> <bR> <div> <B>CPS Academy</B></div> <div> Established by the Institute for Certification in 1985, the <B>CPS Academy</B> was designed solely to enhance the value of the CPS rating.
